Privacy Policy

When you sign in with Apple or Google, SleepyCap receives an account identifier and any email or name you choose to share. SleepyCap never receives your Apple or Google password.

We keep the sessions needed to keep you signed in. You can review and revoke sessions from Account & privacy.

Your profile, bedtime plan, Wind Down choices, check-ins, preferences, and reports are saved to your SleepyCap account. Only sign-in credentials, health permissions, store credentials, and identifiers required by the phone to manage scheduled reminders remain on that device.

SleepyCap reads Apple Health or Health Connect sleep records only after permission. Imported health records are added to your account only when you turn on health-history backup. They are never used for advertising or usage analytics and are never shown to friends unless you enable the relevant sharing control.

Disconnecting removes imported records from SleepyCap but does not delete the original Apple Health or Health Connect records.

The friend service stores requests, accepted connections, blocks, reports, and the privacy settings needed to enforce discovery and sharing. Blocking removes the connection and hides both accounts from one another in search.

Wind Down reminders are scheduled by your phone. If you allow notifications, SleepyCap stores the device information needed to deliver account notifications such as friend requests.

Your profile character is created from the style choices you make in SleepyCap. SleepyCap does not ask for or upload a profile photo. We use service providers to host account data, deliver notifications, and operate sign-in. They process information only as needed to provide those services and under their own privacy terms.

Apple or Google processes Premium purchases. SleepyCap receives the product, transaction, and current subscription status needed to unlock or restore access, but does not receive your full payment-card details.

Optional usage data is off until you turn it on. When enabled, SleepyCap records app opens, screen views, and control interactions together with the device platform and app version. It does not include sleep history, health data, your name, or your email, and it is never used for advertising. These records are kept for up to 90 days.

Account data is kept while your account is active. Optional usage records are retained for up to 90 days and security records for up to 365 days. Expired sessions are removed automatically.

We use encryption in transit, access controls, protected sessions, rate limits, and security logging.

You can control discovery, friend requests, optional usage data, health-history backup, and each type of friend sharing in Account & privacy. You can download an account export, revoke sessions, disconnect health access, reset this device, or permanently delete your account in the app.

Files you previously exported and platform backups are controlled separately by you and the destination provider.
